There was a very rich Jewish who had all of his Money in a deeper basement. In the night he went down to his chamber of wealth in the basement. He opened that trunk and immediately a guy jumped out of that, threatened the Jewish with his gun and asked: “Money or Life?”
The Jewish started to think: What is his life without his Money? He had worked so hard and saved every penny to become rich….
The thief shouted: “Money or life?”
The Jewish thought: for what is life good without money?
He heard again, “Money or Life?”
The Jewish thought what will my family, friends, neighbors, and enemies think when I am poor again? How could I explain how stupid it was to keep all of my Money in the basement?
The thief got impatient shouted very loud: “Money or Life?”
The Jewish thought without Money my family will abandon me and nobody will love me.
Everybody can humiliate or accuse me because I have lost with my money all of my power…
The thief asked: “Why don’t you answer?”
The Jewish replied: “I am still thinking!”
How stupid it is if we can not let go of our status, wealth or power…
If we own all or 1 or 2 of these 3 pillars, we should be ready to leave them at any chosen moment.
Imagine a bird is sitting on a branch if the branch breaks the bird immediately flies away…
And so we should be always ready to leave…
For instance: the whistleblower Julian Assange could easily escape and but then he loses his status.
Edward Snowden even risked his life and then he escaped.
1.) What is the reason why we can’t give up our status?
Arrogance and ignorance…
2.) Our wealth?
Greed
3.) Our power?
Looking to get everything under our control.
4.) Our spouse and kids?
We have invested too much suffering in our closest relationships and still want something back for our sacrifice and that will never happen.
If we want to prove that the world is justice, no generation could do that…
When we sacrifice something almost we don’t get it back!
If we dying we loose in anyway everything.
We can only be free if we are without attachment.
Nobody can buy time.
Nobody can enjoy his time when he is identified with his subject, be it your cell phone, lover, spouse, kids, hobbies, cars…
Ask yourself what are you without status, wealth, family or power?
Is it really worth to sacrifice your entire life for worldly things?
Ask yourself is it not better to surrender a part of your life for God, Religion, and Spirituality?
