Yes, it is so…
There is no cost to getting things wrong.
The cost is not getting them published.
We were working on the artificial heart project…
Our teacher got his Ph.D. for the simulation of the heart…
And we should simulate the heart on real studies of 1000 patients, to get reliable results for parameters of the heart and the Cardioid vascular system without doing surgery on the heart.
Looks good… After 1 year of work, I nearly gave up… I said the formula of our teacher is wrong, our simulation on the computer proves that to 100%
He got a Ph.D. and had actually copied his research from a Professor in East Germany and both were wrong…
Then we changed the formula and did again the simulation on real studies and it worked…
But we didn’t get a Ph.D. or Professor title only a scientific publication report (after 40 you get a Prof. Title)
And most scientific (95%) studies are wrong…
The Journalists want a publication that is novel and unexpected. Because it is attractive to read. It encourages us to investigate more…
Normally we would think that other scientists will replicate the findings of an initial discovery… And so the finding will be self-corrected.
Journalists will not publish them and even if you prove that the previous research is wrong… that is not attractive!
Isn’t science meant to self-correct by other scientists?
So publishing unexpected Hypotheses and manipulating the data gives you success…
Like that, the beard hair of the mustache has the same thickness as the other beard hair!
All the men complained and the publication was a success.
The next point is, to find the sponsor of the scientific publication and you know the results.
Like the CO2 level for increasing the air temperature…
All the centuries before the 20th century, we had a higher CO2 level…
If the temperature is going up the CO2 level will increase…
But then you cannot sell Nuclear Power stations and you can’t deforest the jungle…
And through deforestation of the jungle close to the equator, the temperature raised.
Great…
