5 rules for the rest of your life

Matthew McConaughey

1.) Life is not easy and life is not fair!
A feeling that you are a victim…
You are not.
Most things are more rewarding if you sweat to get them.

2.) Unbelievable is the stupidest word in the dictionary…
We never should use this word…
The dead may be spectacular, phenomenal, outstanding…
Give others and yourself more credit.
You just did it…
It just happened…

3.) Happiness is a response of our outcome, and most of the time our outcome is not what we want…
So, we are unhappy…
Joy is a different thing. – We love to do something that gives us joy and no matter of the outcome.
Enjoy your work, your things…
Don’t depend on the outcome!
Don’t chase happiness.
Joy is always in progress.
It is under construction in the doing that we fascinated to do.

4.) Define success for yourself.
I am enough.
Success is for everybody differently.
Ask yourself again and again what is for you personally success?
Because it will change over time.
Don’t define success for yourself that will jeopardize your being.
Look what you really want or to be and if your success definition is not in line, then this success will harm you more than it will contribute to you.
For instance, your wife wants that you become a great successfully salesman…
If this doesn’t fit for you let it go…
Be brave climb your hill, but never stick to another goal that doesn’t fit you.
Ask yourself what is your hill.

So, you have to calibrate your life with the things, relationship, profession, family, spirituality, hobbies. – That is important to you. Because we want to keep all in a healthy shape.
And that is our success!

5.) Don’t leave crumbs…
Don’t ignore the bad deeds that you have done!
These bad deeds will pull you down until you find an adequate solution.
You are sitting on a time bomb and you don’t know when it will explode.
So don’t have regrets, remorse, – solve them!
Otherwise, you cannot create a customize future.
Create outcome that is for you, that fills you up and that doesn’t harm your future.
And these are delayed gratifications. You are good and get the reward later.
And in the future, these are your rewards.
So, the more success we have so more we will fail… Still, don’t leave crumbs.
