How to overcome Procrastination ?
Mostly of all people don’t know that we all have an inner child (2.5 years old) and an superego (6 to 7 years old child) inside of us. Both have different desires and we should fulfill their desires… otherwise we are getting frustrated, over worked, and for sure unhappy…. When we procrastinate then our Superego want to fulfill certain tasks and the Inner Child want playtime. For the Inner Child it is much more appealing to have sex, love and Rock’n Roll instead to have to fulfill any task…. The superego want to fit in the society, want prestige, positions,… If we ignore the desires of the Inner Child, the Inner Child will procrastinate and/or sabotage our work… Imagine you are under time stress for your work, you can’t work… (Inner Child is procrastinating) and the time to finish the task is coming closer … Then at the last minutes you can do the work….Why? The Inner Child is getting fear and at the end is saying yes… What we have done is procrastinating our leisure (fun) time and our working time…. The greatest sin is to waste time (nobody can buy time!)!!! If we would have aloud our Inner Child to get enough play time, for instance sport, dance, sex, art, yoga, meditation, playing with children or to be creative… When I write this Blog, I procrastinate in learning Spanish… My inner child want playtime and it loves to write creative books, articles,… As I know, if I don’t give my inner child this playtime I can’t learn Spanish…. This means we can use the inner child for our fortune, when we respect that every must is against our inner child…. The next rule is, first playtime and then to work.. .. If we have a bad consciousness that we didn’t had fulfilled our tasks then we running in a vicious circle… We procrastinate then in every aspect or our life…. Again first fun time without regrets otherwise we never can enjoy our life… We set up a certain time for to work, for instance it is not aloud to work more then 45 minutes (this is doing also Brendon Burchard) pause for 10 minutes (B. B. is doing then Chi Gong) and only then it is aloud to work again…
After some time it will be a punishment for us that we can’t work longer… Procrastination stops… And maybe we have then more compassion for our children, spouse and for our colleagues …. Had you already your playtime?
