This lecture that should every religious person consider!
Do you know that our biggest jewels found in our dislikes?
We start with me.
I hardly could learn to speak or to write… Until today I dislike languages, because they are not logical, hard to learn and the grammar is awful… (Still, I speak 4 languages)
I was grown up as an atheist and never got baptized (thank-you God for that!) God is my biggest asset today…
I was a total failure in Music… It was so hard for me to learn music, I learned 3 instruments and by simultaneously singing…
I read again and again reject negative people!
I can be together with people that I dislike and even help them, because what I dislike that I am by myself! I lived together with the most awful people in our Ashram because only I could do that.
Women that were hating me, could love me later!
I could not sit still and I hated that… Meditation is one of my best assets.
Beside that:
I could not make money…
I could not find a girlfriend or could sleep with a girl until my 26 birthdays.
In our Ashram we learned to go beyond of our dislikes and likes by doing the things that we don’t like…
Because we should not be enslaved by our likes and dislikes!
Think over, God wants something from you and you say NO, I dislike that… Guess what happens!
How can you focus on your goal when you want to avoid pain? Or when it brings pain, then you escape… Pain is a part of the success…
Or if you understand like Aurobindo: The vessel of joy is built out of sorrow!
If you cannot go beyond likes and dislikes you are a slave, but never a master of your life.
