Less is much more.

If we follow the rules, we never will have enough…

If we go on vacation, we see how less we need.

When we were 18, we were happy to stay in our tent during the rain, and loved to be free… We traveled on a minimum and could easily connect to the people, met awesome, funny people and today?

If you have never done so, do it!

And then we started our career and never got satisfied, we didn’t had enough and were in the rate race…

Why we want more?

When we are satisfied, we are happy with any outcome.
When I was learning sitar, my teacher gave me a very bad sitar, and I complained. Then he took the sitar and played beautifully on her. The reality was that I could not play well and this goes to everything… Be it the better photo camera, better sports equipment, tools, the designer cloth, …

What missing is that we are not satisfied and want a surrogate satisfaction. Instead, to become better, we are looking outside for the better equipment. We have to work much harder to get the better things and suffer for that.

When our friend, the neighbor has the new better smartphone, car we want that too…
For what? Life is more complicated, we take a loan from the bank to afford these items.

What would happen if we would be happy and thankful for the things we already have?

Would we prostitute us for the consume things anymore?

All these consumer pressure our must to upgrade will lead to a misery life. If we would try to downscale our life to enjoy more our free time, and to quit TV, our stressful job, life; life would be marvelous.

We can’t buy happiness. We lose our freedom our time for meaningless things that we must to have.

How does it comes that we have been happier with fewer things when we were 18 or 20?

People call me crazy, why I travel so cheap? I never was happy when I traveled in luxury. My greatest travel experiences were always when I stayed cheap… And you say I can’t get the same experience when I today live cheap as I was before.

I ask you why?

Now I am at the K.L. Airport sitting on the ground and writing on my Laptop, before I was in the rest area ate my fruits on the ground and meditated before…

Why we should not do what we like? Or is it better to do what the society is dictating us?

We should work hard, and become wealthy, with a fancy car and a beautiful house, with kids …

I can’t see that this will make us happy.
