All Religions condemn selfishness and that is wrong.
We should discriminate between positive and negative selfishness.
What is positive and constructive selfishness?
1.) To have children and to have not children. It depends on the person if he/she likes to have children.
2.) To enjoy sex. With sex we can show our love to our darling; we can release our tension; it is good for the body, and it bonds our relationship….
3.) To become rich and successful without harming anybody or our environment.
4.) To benefit from the people when we have done it right.
What is negative or destructive selfishness?
1.) To live an unhealthy lifestyle with junk-food and no body-exercise.
2.) To overspend our money and live on credit.
3.) To gain profit without keeping the contracts or our word. For instance, the people donated $500 Mill for the Haiti earthquake to the Catholic church and the Catholic church has not done anything for Haiti… just put the money in their pocket.
4.) To condemn sex and to rape kids like the Catholic church. 25% of the American Catholics left the church because of the raping scandals of the Catholics priests with the kids.
5.)To exploit people in the name of God. That has done and does every Religion.
If we see people, religions, politicians who are demanding selflessness, look what is their real intention.
Normally when we over-think our acting we find out that short time acting to get the most out of the situation will harm us.
It is rather more that we first invest and help, to gain the maximum. Because if the people see our selfish behavior than they run away. And we gain at the end not much.
If we maintain a good relationship we have to give in advance. And then we gain always.
If we want to love we give first love…
If we cheat people. In the end, we will get so much trouble and can’t enjoy our life anymore.
A real selfish guy is honest and loves to help everybody. Because it makes him happy and content.
